During migration or audit from/to Office 365, you have noticed the following error:
“Fatal error during migration process: Unable to connect. Please check your credentials. Error message = Root element is missing.”
The Server Region choosen in your Office 365 connector is incorrect.
- If you have your Office 365 in German data center (you log in at https://portal.office.de), choose the option ‘Germany’
- If you have your Office 365 in Chinese data center (you log in at https://login.partner.microsoftonline.cn), choose the option ‘China’
In any other cases (https://portal.office.com) leave the option ‘Worldwide’.
